Back in April of this year we decided that we needed to up our marketing game to reach more of the people that we wanted to reach, but if we could do it in a way that allowed us to support a community venture too, well that would be amazing. Step up Mark Covington from SNAP Sponsorship and their proposition – match businesses with grass roots sports clubs to generate a return on investment. After discussion we established that Esher Cricket Club was a great opportunity for us, with lots of high level business people both operating in the area and also commuting to London. Mark, who is CEO at SNAP said “There is a massive need for grassroots sports clubs to professionalise their sponsorship opportunities to make it enticing for businesses to invest in this form of marketing, so that the business gets a genuine return. For the guys at Esher it was great to have a Digital Agency in Surrey that was able to provide website design and development, video production and graphic design services as a sponsor to really help them with their marketing efforts, both in terms of new sponsors, event attendance and player recruitment. We initially supported them in creating a marketing video for the Lunch in the City event, the video of which is below.

The club has done really well all season which each of the four main teams, and the youth teams with boys and girls, so it has been a pleasure to sponsor the club throughout the season. The end of season ball took place a couple of weeks ago and as a little memento of the season and to remind everyone associated with the club that we are a creative agency we went along to the ball and filmed a comedy montage for everyone to have a chuckle at.

The video is below but beware, it is not for the faint hearted!
