Exogear Product Review

Square Daisy produced this product review for the online reseller to market the Exo Gear iPhone rechargeable battery pack case within the UK. The aim of the video was to review a product that was going to be sold exclusively online, and so it needed to be in-depth, visual and tactile to reassure consumers that the product they were buying was good quality.

"Product videos are really important in the age of the internet. Gone are the days when consumers physically see and handle a product before parting with money for it. That doesn’t mean they scrutinise any less though - with written reviews, star ratings and Youtubers product testing - its important to get your own thorough product summary out there; and video is the best way to do it."

Square Daisy produced this product review for an online reseller of the Exo Gear iPhone rechargeable battery pack case to sell it within the UK market. The aim of the video was to review a product that was going to be sold exclusively online, and so it needed to be in-depth, visual and tactile to reassure consumers that the product they were buying was good quality.

The video is longer than we would normally suggest for a product video – just over 5 minutes – but as a review video, the audience are looking for detailed information and will be wiling to watch to the end. We opted for a presenter led piece, set in an uncluttered setting, to focus on the product itself. The lighting was designed to highlight the presenter’s hand particularly and to draw the eye to the charger pack. To keep the edit interesting it cuts between shots of the presenter and close-ups of the product being handled by the presenter from a couple of different angles. Extreme close-ups focus on details, such as the battery indicator light on the back of the case, and the port cut-outs that are important for the functionality of the phone.

That doesn’t mean they scrutinise any less though – with written reviews, star ratings and Youtubers product testing – its important to get your own thorough product summary out there; and video is the best way to do it.
