We worked with GeeYou to build up the creative concept for this video, finding a balance between the high production value, cinematic vision and the budget and timescale available. The turnaround for the project was tight with, with less than a month to get the video planned, shot and edited. The video is narrated by the voice of a 7 year-old child who is writing his wholesome letter to Santa, and this storyline leads the viewer around Guildford town centre, concluding in a festive, magical message to close on. We shot the video in one day, waiting until dusk to get the exterior shots, further elevating the ambience with the Christmas lights glistening in the background. With some advanced post-production techniques we added some extra sparkle to the edit and wrapped up the video with an emotive soundtrack. The video was a success with over 1.4k views on their Facebook feed!
Give the Gift of Guildford
As part of a collaboration of local stakeholders, Experience Guildford, Guildford Borough Council and GeeYou came together to create a Christmas video to encourage seasonal shoppers back to their local high street. The concept was to create an emotive, festive story, that showcases the local business community, with a cinematic "John Lewis advert" feel.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, one million times thank you! Looks absolutely marvellous. Everyone loves it and tears were mentioned - John Lewis eat your heart out." Olivia Kelly, Experience Guildford
